Our press, shape and covering out of possession has been awful add that to lethargy and we are awful defensively.
But, it is 2 all and we will go on to win it.
Virg needs to look at himself and he needs to pack in international footy, it is getting too much fobr him.
Have to ask, how is it an excellent cross if it should have been easily cleared?
I often wonder this when commentators say similar 
I really liked how Rio had an easy pass out to the left, but he cut in onto his right and clipped a lovely ball in there. Araujo didn’t give up on it and nodded in at the far post when the defender let it run across his body.
Lots of problems in that first half, so I will definitely take 2-2 at half time.

Defender could have just headed it away, or stood still even and let it hit him.
Because it caused uncertainty and wes scored.
Tsimikas has been poor
As has Virgil, Gravenberch and Koumas
Araujo redeemed himself with the goal, he has been caught out of position a few times.
Macca has been very good, Nyoni ok, Rio excellent. Jacquet very dependable
It was poor defending, he’d fit right in our team.
It caused uncertainty because of awful defending though.
Any half decent defender should have dealt with that. Basically fortuitous is it not?
Bloody Hell. 2:2 at half time feels like a victory at the moment.
I’m wondering if we get half time subs,although it’s the defending that has been a bit Keystone Cops.
On Macca, on the ball yes but off it he has been caught out of position n a few occassions, leaving a large hole and Trey having to cover 2 players.
The fact that Rio was able to dance around three defenders and get that chip into a dangerous position is excellent.

Rafa’s at the game. Get him into the dressing room to organise the defence.
How the fuck has Tsimikas been poor? He’s been one of the few trying to get forward, has been aggressive and got an assist. Ref has been brutal on him.
Rio has been good but he needs to track back because he was at fault for their second.
I will give some charitable half time thoughts.
The group stage doesn’t have enough jeopardy, so most of the teams who expect to advance will allow themselves an iffy game or two.
The other thought is that we made a lot of changes, and while I expect us to be better, it stands to reason that we were disjointed and growing into it as the half progressed.
A win is very much on the cards, even as we have been poor so far. And after a very wobbly first half, I would love Virgil Van Dijk to nod it in.
