We started jacquet and Araujo before. And played well together. Must 35 yr old Virg play every minute. Quite possible he could be gone this summer.
Like how though. What mistakes and what’s he done wrong.
Tsimi has given some stupid freekicks away and hasn’t done wel on the ball although a caveat on that as the their movement has been poor.

For me it was just lucky and was not the right pass but we got a goal out of it. Sometimes you get goals when you shouldnt. Doesn´t mean you made the right choice or a good pass.
And
Rio wasn’t at fault for their second.
Araujo was way oug of position. And Tsimikas, who you think is playing well played them all onside.
Whatever is going on it’s making for an interesting match.
There’s some disconnect between Koumas and the other attackers if that could be sorted I feeywe could easily outscore this team in yellow (they look like those bananas Cheaty fans were waving).

Rio didn´t bother tracking the man though

But it was partly on him as he didn´t make any effort to get back
He´s done that a few times. Which is fine if he´s delivering top quality at the other end, could be argued.
He’s been penalised for some very innocuous fouls but is at least putting in the challenges. What about the corner for the goal?
Sometimes people just have their go to slagging off targets.
As for their goals I’m blaming them on VVD as he’s been really lazy.

On the freeze frame you can see Virgil also playing the two attackers onside.
But it’s clearly Araujo who decided to vacate his side to take a hike in the middle of the field who is at fault here.
He would have stayed there, there would be much less free space.
I wouldnt mind seeing the big 3 come in. Isak Wirtz and Barcola.

Tsimkas isn’t a target for me.
But I will say if someone isn’t playing well.
I thought the ball that Rio put in was alright. First of all, he could have rolled it left but instead he cut back onto his right. That changed the angle and he took the initiative by clipping a ball in there.
I would say he put it into that corridor of uncertainty, and as the last defender tried to shepherd it out (his mistake) Araujo stayed hopeful and kept going, nodding it in from beyond the back stick.
I can;t overstate the quality of the cross, but the lad did alright. Rio was one of only 2-3 to have had a decent first half.
Hopefully we up our game and run out clear winners second half.

Is quite nice to have them as options to bring on.
Without the Ekitike injury we´d have pretty good front player strength in depth. Or very good, better said.
