Pre Match | Liverpool vs. Wolves | PL Matchday 11 | Sunday December 6th 19:15h | Anfield

HT 1-0:

Very good first-half performance from our lads against a tough opponent. After a difficult initial spell, with Wolves creating some dangerous chances, and Kelleher having to display all his class to save a goal, they started to take the game to Wolves. The attacking moves have been going faster and faster for us, and Wolves have struggled to cope with it.

Stand-out player for me so far: Hendo. He pulls all the strings in midfield, leads the team with his voice and his body language, and the diversity and range of his passing is breathtaking. A true giant in midfield to witness tonight.

Still nothing done so far. Salah’s marvelous little goal from Coady’s error gives us the lead, but everything is still to play for. Luckily, that late penalty was overturned, it would have been a fallacy for it to go through. But the refs did the right thing, so fair play to them. Coady should have been booked though.

Hopefully our lads can maintain their level, they should get more chances and hopefully they can convert it into goals. Fingers crossed!

Weird how I don’t have the slightest concern about our defensive display , despite Wolves being the probbably most competent opponent in attack this far at Anfield and Neco being targeted and having his work cut out again today. Still - he grows into it more and more.
What is missing is Trent’s attacking play from the RB position though…

Curtis with a more than convincing display again and Kelleher looks absolutely calm , settled and a safe pair of hands I didn’t expect at all in this and the last match.

On the whole nobody stands out individually , almost as if all their quality on the ball is a bit diminnished , but it’s just that everybody is more concerned with displaying a serious “get it done” attitude instead of the fancy stuff.

Wolves is delivering more of the latter and looks dangerous but gets nowhere this far - may it continue all day…

Oh - and if VAR catches you on cam you with the claw in the jar , you need to get booked - wtf , seriously?

Regardless of what happens this point forward, I will say this about the lad, he’s as confident with his feet and he is his gloves. Absolutely relaxed, assured, and confident. As confident on his right boot as he is his left. More than anything, his relaxed composure and assured effort is making me comfortable as I’m sure it is his mates.

I expect we will see TAA at the half or perhaps 65’

Once he’s made the decision to flop, what can he do though? A split second decision imo. A bad one, particularly against his old club, but it’s not like as the captain he can walk over to the ref and ask for it to be reversed. He’d be kicked out of the club so fast. He walked away without speaking to anyone which imo was the best he could do in that situation.

Yeah he gave his teammate a half-hearted high five because the teammate initiated it and didn’t want to leave him hanging.

The Mrs. and I toured the Erdinger brewery last year. It’s a beautiful operation and luckily I’ve been able to buy it here in the States. My local also scored me the Erdinger Jurgen Champion edition cans.

Neco still on.

Can we please have a second goal early doors so I can have a stress free night for once…

Well I will take 1:0 at half time. I’d look at swapping Trent for Neco at some point as that yellow is a bit precarious.

Just had a look at my Facebook timeline and my approval of the clubs support of the LGBT community doesn’t appear to have gone down too well with some of our international following. Lots of abusive PMs and, oddly, a friend request from someone with lots of motivational quotes from the Quran - I mean I don’t object to that but it’s not really my thing.

Anyway… do we get Jota on at some point? Our front three look quite sharp at the moment but I don’t want to push our luck.

Actually happened yesterday as I understand it. Lower leagues, Swansea I think it was.

My Beer of choice. Can get 500ml bottles locally and always try to keep half a dozen cold and ready to go.

Think they first played it just after we won the title, maybe the game against Chelsea at anfield. Brilliant ad.
