Pre Match/ln Match: Liverpool Vs Bologna 02/10/2024 - 20:00

We reach October and the nights now are colder and darker as European football returns to Anfield under the new guidance of Arne Slot.

Will his bald head shine through and deliver his first Champions League home win or will the Italians catch the Reds of Liverpool unaware.

Wednesday is when it all unfolds.

It’s all @mattyhurst’s fault.

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark

At the end of a storm
There’s a golden sky

Arne the messiah who will bring the golden sky with his shiny bald head.

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid to be bald

At the end of the storm
There’s a golden sky
And a sweet silver trophy to hold

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your head be cleanly shorn
Walk on
Walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone

Bologna are muck. Comfortable 3 points here and I’m sensing our first real demolition job on a side from minute 1 to 95.

Alisson, Bradley Konate Virgil Robbo, Endo Grav, Chiesa Mac Gakpo, Jota

5-0 win.

I’ve just had a quick look at Bologna as I know pretty much nothing about them. They appear to be draw specialists in Serie A. They are currently bang mid-table.

Lewis Ferguson is the club captain who I have seen play for Scotland. I’m assuming that says something about their level, although you don’t get 4th in Serie A by being rubbish every week.

Will be in the new ARE for this one. First one back in the CL under the lights. Hoping for a good solid performance, with a hint of rotation.

I think we will see Chiesa start his second match.

Well I’ll be asked again or never again.

Which is fine.

Lettuce Consommé them in quick thyme with relish.

Been working on this one since the draw was made.

We have a history of losing at Anfield to unfancied Italian sides…Genoa, Fiorentina, Udinese, Atalanta…they’ll raise their game like Atalanta did last season.
I think we’ll win but complacency would cost us.

It’s why we bought Chiesa
