I keep saying it, and have been criticised for it. But we have had a terrible window in terms of our priorities. Wirtz would have been great, still, but with a centreback and the correct sort of full backs.

Pepās 1000th game in charge and this set of officials told the story before a ball was even kicked. We were never winning this game unfortunately. Time to regroup during the international break.

One lesson to be learned this season is that team chemistry and consistency mean a lot.
