I remember the old days when players were allowed time to settle into the side and even the city. Plus they were allowed time to get a bit of match sharpness after a serious injury.
That’s not to say the Ox’s level hasn’t been poor, it has, maybe it will never come back to where it needs to be but in the meantime he needs a bit of support I think.

we only had 3 shots on target and Leipzig wasn’t really dangerous in the attack.
However, this result was exactly what we needed and should put us in a good mood to play the bitters

This is a huge confidence booster for the game against the bitters!
He has been poor, even in our poor run of form…but I agree that we need to get behind our players, especially those who are trying very hard to come back from injuries, such mentality is important.
However, its also going to be hard for us to reject any bid if any clubs say come in for him with a 15m bid for example, we might just be tempted to cash in on him. It would be an interesting summer for us and for fringe players like Ox, Shaqiri etc

I think the ox is finished as a top level player due to injuries.
