He literally just popped up in the CF spot to have our best chance so far. I would understand this thing about him being on the left if it limited his goal scoring opportunities, but the way he plays the role it clearly doesnt.

because we’re playing so narrow they’re switching the play from side to side. dragging our players across then a switch to open up space. Benzema keeps overloading Trent’s side (expected) and we have Gakpo playing there.
when the hole opens up, Modric drops in and creates the extra man.
