One more comment on Salah’s wages.
He had us over a barrel, so our leverage was all but gone. Leave on a free or pay him the dough? Of the two options, the latter is by far the best.
But now, as he is under contract, some good value has been preserved for us.
Long way to go, but if we don’t finish top four, Mo might not want to do a season out of the CL at his age and stage of career.
It might be best for both parties if we went separate ways.

Yeah, 30 years old this summer, doesn’t have the athleticism that made him stand out, and available on a free. I don’t think he is necessarily done, but he will likely be playing a good deal further down the table.
