Phillips’ only mistake on the first goal appears to be that he’s not quick enough. His position was fine, the ball was excellent, he’s just not quick enough. What do people want, for him to magically become faster? You could certainly argue he shouldn’t be used in a defence playing a high line, but is he responsible for that?
