Not sure Gerrard had the same tactical discipline - both in positioning and also in his willingness to play the short and simple ball - it’s an area that Hendo is superior, IMHO.

This just brought back the time Rafa took off Gerrard v utd for Lucas and said he was not playing with his head only his heart , not long afterwards Lucas goalbound shot was stopped on the line by Nevilles hand resulting in a winning pen.
