Exactly and that includes Konaté even if he has dived really low.
Just thought that was implied by “Can we get Robbo back in the team please?” I do think individual performances have been shit. How much of that is on the players, collectively, and how much is on Slot is debatable.
Yeah, right now I’d have Robbo ahead of Kerkez. But I know we also have to use Kerkez and he does have physical qualities and energy.
I hope to see a team with more passion and drive. One that will fit tooth and nail for every ball and second ball. Flair and style can take a back seat now.
Ali
Jones-Gomez-VVD-Robertson
Endo
Gravenbach-Szoboszlai
Chiesa-Isak-Kerkez
Salah, Konate, Gakpo and Macalister to the bench.
I know it isn’t fashionable these days, but I’m starting to wonder if we shouldn’t go back to the type of formations Rafa used to employ, especially first half to try and stop conceding fucking goals every 15-20 minutes. Keep it tight and maybe nick a goal, go more attacking as the game opens up.
Basically a 4-5-1 type set up. Remembering back to Torres with Gerrard in behind him, I wonder if it could work for us?
In front of the back 4 maybe have Grav and Endo sitting (and staying put) in the Alonso/Masch role with Dom and Mac either side doing the Kuyt/Benny type roles and Wirtz in behind Hugo (or maybe Hugo in behind Isak) - Not 100% sure on the personnel (Frimpong in the Kuyt role if he was fit - but he isn’t) but in principle it would make us much harder to beat and if we could get to half time without conceding then we stand a better chance of gaining confidence and going on to win the game, if Hugo or Florian can nick a goal then we are in a great position. This is only to get us going again as something has to change NOW! I’m not suggesting this is our strongest formation long term or anything.
Any thoughts?
Anyone know what Virg performs like on the Right side of defence… Would it be the worst plan to move him over, and drop Robbo beside him and leave kirkez in the starting line-up…
Ibou epitomises exactly our poor form at the moment.. If his name is on the team-sheet tomorrow… well, what are we going to get again with him… how many brain-farts in 90minutes.
Crazy times at the minute
I don’t want Robbo as the LCB in a back 4.
This is really now a sea of whatever ideas that would just create more problems. Possibly even worse than what we’re seeing.
Goal! West Ham 1 : 0 Liverpool. 7 minutes. Souček.
Go 442 and tell Salah to get over himself and look to create rather than score from now on from right mid and bust a gut to get goal side during counters.
If Ekitike is back, get him up top with Isak to form a partnership.
Grav and Szobo in the centre. And stay behind the ball when its getting moved up the pitch.
This doesn’t seem so funny now…
We won that… maybe you should post it more ![]()
No way Salah is playing on the right of a midfield 4 in a 4-4-2. He’s on the bench in that scenario, but would play in a front 2 when on the pitch.
Lots of possible permutations. I’d like to see at least a couple of changes made. Ideally we play much better, but even if we get jittery, any three points at this stage will do, just to stop the rot.
Just want a strong controlled performance where we are cohesive as a team and we both defend and attack as a unit
If the guy is intimating he can’t make big changes because he lacks numbers in personnel… well he is going to put more or less the same eleven out…
The thing is, those players are capable of beating any team. Question remains though… Why aren’t we :0)
Pack midfield tomorrow and stop conceding goals, Slot wont do this and i expect us to lose.
Another pussy.![]()
Give em all some viagra as I am sick and tired of the soft c@#ks playing for us ![]()
