Pre-match: West Ham v Liverpool, Wednesday 26th April, 19:45

Well that was energetic… sort out the shit passing and we win.

Whenever I watch this movie…

Not for me to question Klopp, but wondering if we’re trying to be too clever rather than simple option = play someone else at right back and release the Trent in midfield

We have been so close with some great passing then a sloppy final ball is hurting us

The idea that you can just turn a world class RB into a fully fledged midfielder overnight is delusional.

Trent’s current role, drifting in, is far more suitable.

Pretty open half.

If we can just string a few decent passes together we will smash these lot.

Diaz on early second half to run at them

Rookie.

I still blame Sakho for 50% of the goals we concede

We’ve played about 400 that half, problem is 399 of them were sideways or back.

We’ve turned Fabinho into a cart horse…

Anythings possible :joy:

Most encouraging thing about that first half is the boys’ heads didn’t go down when we conceded, which we’ve seen a lot this season.

We’re still too easy to play through, but that aside, we look good in possession and I’ve liked the off the ball stuff. Just need Mo, Cody or Jots to get an inch of space.

Wouldn’t have been able to get there if he had

It’s not just about getting Trent on the ball in those positions though, but also allowing us an extra body in the middle to help press the ball better when we lose it. We’ll see how how this evolves with new legs in midfield next season.

I think it’s more to do with a crowded box than bad passes.

Matip right back and centre back.

He should have read it and covered the little lay off, I could see it happening at the other side of the World

Yes partly but also just timed wrong or the wrong weight of pass

The 2 local lads are looking good in mid. The irony.

Curtis and Trent?

Yes Curtis and Trent.

Just want to say it has been lovely to see Curtis Jones play so much the past few weeks. He has done well.

When he was out, even a lot of his supporters were having their faith stretched. He has been reminding us that he is a good player. Good luck to him.
