For me, in the context of a derby, if your player is getting ganged up on a bit (Robbo was not innocent) by a few players several inches taller, and a lot heavier, I loved seeing VVD make his own sizeable presence known.
I might be a caveman for it, but a bit of fight, a bit of backing your own player…

Yep Gomez had a good game Matip did well after his early mistake and Trent solid apart form that usual cross to the back post. Midfield overall good, still thought Fab looked poor/nervous on the ball.
Up front all 3 did well.
