I was hoping for Nov 2024.

I hope Robbo plays today. At least we can say goodbye to him.

I just hope he plays…at some time today…

That’s just Joe.

We can say that when he goes on to play 51 games in a season (like in 23/24 and mostly at full back) or 15-20.

His average for Liverpool per season isn’t even 25 (also wasn’t always first choice of course).

Flip of a coin.

Weird coming off a good win midweek and unbeaten since November, albeit somewhat underwhelming nonetheless, but honestly feel we’re going to find it hard to get out of 1st gear again. 2-1 win or a draw at best with not much to get really thrilled about.

Every game Joe starts in the last couple of years, I stick a tenner on him for first goal…
He owes me around €500…
Today could be the day…

We need a good win.

This lineup looks alright for today.

We’ll see what’s the structure like, of the different versions we’ve used so far this season and especially lately.

Could be that 4-2-2-2 again, box shape midfield and two slightly wider forwards, with Gakpo in Ekitike’s role from midweek.

Ekitike bench?

Game time management, he can’t start every game, being our only proper striker left until Isak returns.

Gakpo for Ekitike? I thought he came off early to be given a rest for today’s game.

I’m having a mare on the fantasy football. Haaland captain at home to Wolves, seems a sure thing. On the bench. Ok, no problem, Ekitike is my Vice captain. On the bench :joy:

Real football trumps fantasy, so game on. Let’s see what Salah, Gakpo and Wirtz can do. I would imagine Ekitike will feature from the bench. I think time management is right too, with Isak out for so long, Ekitike needs to be carefully managed so he doesn’t go down too.

That seems unlikely knowing Slot.
Still no reason for him not to start and be subbed off later.

Well let’s see what the one change to the line up does.

It’s not like he never rotates…

We have no insight into where individuals stand in terms of fitness, sharpness, etc. Coaching staff decides that in colaboration with medical staff.

We have to be prudent as he’s one of our key players this season, our only proper striker left fit for a while and obviously cannot start every game.

Yeah whatever. I don’t need it spelt out. Whatever you say Gravenberch gets played until he’s dropping dead yet we have Jones on the bench.
If we’re not told/explained anything then there’s no reason for it!

Bit windy down on the south coast but I can’t wait to see our amazing team in action to help the wind blow Bournemouth off the pitch. Up the red men!!!
