‘We have to be the worst opponent for Brentford’

Brentford v Liverpool (12:30 GMT)

Liverpool

Liverpool manger Jurgen Klopp, speaking to TNT Sports: "Dom [Dominik Szoboszlai] is injured, yesterday in the training session Ali [Alisson Becker] pulled out and that is not good, but besides from that we have plenty of players coming back.

“We just try to figure it out and we have to be the worst opponent for Brentford which is a big task.”

On young players: "I am very proud of our academy and how they educate these boys - they are brilliant people.

“All of them are ready for their football and it is a massive step into fame. The boys are massively down to earth and good guys and that is the most important thing.”

On the title race: "We don’t chase the title every day and at this moment we are top of the table, but the whole week has nothing got do with it.

"The boys don’t feel the pressure, but playing in a team and contributing to a team with the quality we have is special.

"It is a young squad, but these players are a part of the project.

“We have to make sure we are ready today.”

I agree Gomez would suit their phisicality more. But he could be still a bit weaker and thus not ready to start after his flu. Start in midweek might be a more realistic option for him. Though I am pretty sure he will come on for Bradley around the 65-minute mark.

Hurts my brain trying to figure this out, this early.

My head hurts

That’s about as good a team as possible, given the circumstances. Strong bench too.

Kelleher had a very good game last time out, hopefully he’s at that level again. Welcome back Bradley, hopefully he starts where he left off.

Endo needs to find his groove again, or there could be holes in the midfield.

I like the forward line, presumably with Mo to see some action later on as he eases back in.

Early morning here, snow, -15C, great morning to hunker down with a coffee and the match. Come on you reds!

Michael Oliver cunt

My fav is Yarmilouk

Blue?

Might wanna adjust the contrast in your TV settings.
