Need to put in Endo to gain midfield control. Sub out Elliott and let Mac do his thing further upfield. Would definitely be better than status quo.
Of course n still trying to figure out what Gross was arguing so hard with the ref about… didn’t seem like the sort of foul there was any doubt at all about
Endo gets absolutely murdered out there he has no pace. Need to pick his games and this ain’t one. Maybe late sub when they are tired.

Ridiculous comment given the incident in question. That doesn’t mean he has to be going towards goal on a straight line perfectly parallel to the touch lines. Dom was clearly going towards goal

I agree, a thankless task at times and when reffing, you get the best plaudits for how you deal with players rather than your decisions, as there is always one side aggrieved

It seems much of the blame on here is being laid at Mac’s feet for the goal given the comments about him?
I just don’t understand how Virg isn’t copping most of the blame? He’s facing forward, he can see Mac is being pressed by 3 players, yet still decides to make a slow paced pass to him? I didn’t really enjoy how Robbo and Virg were handling that early pressure. They just weren’t really coping.

The commentator blamed Mac Allister loudly and immediately, is my guess. It was more on Van Dijk (and Alisson) than Mac for me.
Not to say Mac Allister has had a good game, but that incident wasn’t primarily his fault. It was the wrong pass from Van Dijk, but if he was going to play it it needed more pace on the ball.
