That’s why he was obliged to give one.
It was determined a few years ago that a red card, a penalty (and the resulting suspension) is too harsh for 1 foul so they downgraded it to a yellow for a dogso in the box. The exception is it’s still a red for a challenge without a legitimate attempt to win the ball…e.g. a trip or a shirt pull.
The fact he didn’t even get a yellow tells you they didn’t think it was dogso, likely because of the defender trying to get back onto the line, which is hysterical.

Brighton are a really good football team, but they are a bit of a one trick pony. They want you to press them and they creat situations to invite the press, then they bank themselves to play around into overloads.
We can’t keep falling for their pressing trick. Just be a bit more passive. Let them try and play through us. Once we get the ball, I don’t fancy their defence against our lads.

We have two major issues in midfield.

Mac is wasted at DM and he’s also very average there. His enormous contributions for Brighton and Argentina came in a much more attacking position. BTW that pass from VVD was stupid

Elliott is the two sides of the word offensive. Offensive midfielder and it’s offensive to your eyes to see his defending.
That’s what I was referring to with the whole argument on it.

I think he actually played advantage hand then made the call when Diaz didn’t score (you know because he was fouled in the box)
