Usual bell ends….
Not a lot they can do now. Kind of like having the supply teacher in after the exams have finished.
Does Szoboszlai have such poor awareness of his surroundings? 0/10 for me.
I actually forgot that league isn’t over yet
Leicester only did this to get the free set of steak knives once they had purchaed 10 extra medals.
Why are we always playing on Sundays? This is becoming tiresome.
Anyway, just make sure that the lads deliver a professional performance again. Chelsea have their entire season on the line for their remaining games. We on the other hand haven’t much to play for anymore, bar pride, and hopefully the willingness to end the season on a high.
Fingers crossed that the lads will remain professional until the end of the season. Otherwise, I’m not overly concerned by what the result will be.
It’s a tricky one to predict. Chelsea really need the points as they try to make the CL spots. We have already won the league, and with nothing else left to achieve - apart from three points, a better overall total, some pride, and perhaps a chance for a couple of fringe players to stake a claim for themselves - it’s difficult to know how fired up we will be.
Hopefully we are professional and give a good account of ourselves.
I’d like to see more of Chiesa between now and the end of the season. Changes to the group of forwards are likely, and I’d like to get a feel for whether or not he is worth keeping around as part of the group.
A sunday game is better for TV and they wanted to make sure the day the title was won was a good TV event. So once we reached inevitability they moved all our remaining games to the Sunday to ensure whenever it happened they could make an event out of it…and then scheduled ot to conflict with the second cup semi final
We had a period earlier in the season when we had three Saturday 3pm kick-offs in a row. This was when the pundits had us down as no-hope, mid-table mediocrity.
They want us on Sunday now as they suspect we may be in with a shout of the title. Top 4, at least.
Well this one is due to them playing on Thursday. Dunno about why the other ones are. Putting us after Arsenal maybe was an attempt to put pressure on us but Arsenal just pressured themselves.
Shit, that will come out of the transfer budget. Don’t let that happen Arne!
I am shallow as f. I just want to see the guard of honour.
Arne Slot press conference today at 09:00. Presumably discussing what he will be doing on his summer holidays and whether he has brought and board games with him today.
Summary of press conference:
-
Celebrations: Lots of messages which he has been trying to answer. Amazing day for fans and players. Best day of their lives. Special to be part of.
-
He received a message from Jürgen. Very happy for both Slot and players.
-
Opportunity for remaining games: Nice to play strong teams. Need to see this games as start (of prep) for next season. Surprised at gap from Chelsea compared to how we were last time we played (at Anfield).
-
Trent: (laughs) No news. No comment.
-
Slot watched the Chelsea game in Europe last night. Noticed the half time subs - obvious quality in team.
-
How important to get maximum points: We are trying to win every game. His lineups will be different as there will be some rotation.
-
Rotation to think towards next season? Fringe players deserve to play more.
-
Slots connection to fans: Felt support from day one. Feeling goes up a notch when we win a trophy together.
-
Elliott: Important that he wants to stay and deserves more playing time. Wasn’t at full level after injury but now showing form again.
-
Fringe players have nothing to prove. They want to show that they are capable.
-
It won’t be 4 games with the Spurs line-up.
-
Advantage of winning league is that is shows how special it is to play for Liverpool. Mentioned how fans helped celebrations by not invading pitch.
-
Strength of premier league: Teams in 16th better than no 1 in Netherlands. PL teams have financial advantage over other leagues so no surprise that it is strong. PL most competitive league.
-
Chelsea caused us tactical problems. Expecting challenge on Sunday.
-
Mac Allister (journo suggests underrated): Slot does not underrate him at all. Great on the ball and tenacious without it.
-
Conor Bradley: will train today. Expected to be available but may not start.
Beating them while hungover might almost be as funny as beating them in the final with kids.
Fuck beating them while hungover, beat them while still rat-arsed.
Starting XI with a bag of cans in the centre circle.
Kinda hoping we stay professional and beat these fucks
