Prematch - Chelsea V Liverpool FC (Away) - 4th May - 4:30pm - PL match day 35

If they fine him, I think LGBTQ+ football fans would be right to be furious, given that Guehi didn’t get any fine.

What did Guehi do?

Very similar. I suspect that the sincerity of the message was not the one he intended?

Remember back in the World Cup when the big 5 European captains all got threatened if they wore rainbow flag armbands, yet the Qatar captain wore a Free Palestine badge and nothing got said?

That tells you everything you need to know about the football authorities and applying the rules fairly.

This came up in Australia back in 2023 when Usman Kawaja got in trouble for backing a message of peace during Israels attacks on Palestine, yet Marnus Labuschagne has a biblical quote reference sticker added to all of his bats and no one thinks anything wrong with it.

Seems like our “f*ck off Chelsea FC…” song will have to be updated.

Even if their history is a lot richer than it was when we first sang it. Hence why it wasn’t heard that much.

Moving back to the actual football, a chance of going 18 clear today.

With the record winning margin being 19 and with us to still play Arsenal I’ve a new found motivation to see them go all out in these next four games to try and claim that record.

Gakpo may have been prompted to do so because of the recent passing of the Pope :see_no_evil_monkey:

Could really see Arteta put under big pressure quite quickly next season if they dont become more dominant in the league.

I think it’ll happen sooner.

If they drop into 3rd or 4th and fail to win the Champions League he’ll be getting pelters from the gooner unfaithful

Apparently its already started Arsenal fans fighting with each other in stands about Areta going.

I think the notion of playing like a pub team because the league is over is outdated anyway.
Remain professional and play to break records. Treat the supporters in attendance to your best efforts. Look at the Emirates at full time yesterday. Their team in a CL semi final this week and all the empty seats…
My view is that you should keep playing and stay winning.

They’ve reacted like that for ages now, lose a game and it was Arteta out.

As far as I am aware..nobody complains about Mo when he scores…

They sure do when he has an off week or two.

I don’t think Arne disagrees, except that I think he’s made it clear that he’ll be using the games to play some of those who haven’t had as many minutes as they would otherwise have hoped for.

It would be great for us to continue winning, while using the rest of the squad. If they’re going to have a role at all next season it needs to start from now.

That’s when he doesn’t score.

Pay attention MH, I know it’s not Thursday, but really

So first game as the newly crowned champions of England.

I say we go bow out in style with a rotated side, it’s a win win.
