I donāt know, it is a bit hard to criticise Arne given where we are at the table. perhaps we would not be where we are had we played more of our squad in the premier league like Klopp used to. Even so, itās worth mentioning that with so little matching, our reserves suck and it is unlikely that we will play in form new rising stars (under klopp, many came from our reserves, but they got matching).
But we are set to win the Premier league, so I donāt know if I can criticise. Our squad is not as big as City etc. But yes, our reserves are pretty mediocre these days.
More worrisome perhaps, is that many playing here now, are not truly reserves. They belong on the first team but are bench players. But they too, donāt get that much matching under Arne.
But I donāt know if I should criticise it or not, given where we are at the table.

Biggest problem is in midfield, especially on the right with Harvey. He needs to connect play better and is not supporting Fede at all

Get Curtis in midfield. Unfortunate (again) for Gomez. The rejig meant that our midfield was inexperienced. Nyoni picking up a card didnāt help
Mabaya is no where near first team level, and it shows.

Lads, itās Plymouth.
Theyāre fighting hard in a cup tie against our reserves, but in the second half their lack of relative fitness will show and weāll roll over them.

I think losing Gomez has thrown Arneās plans. I suspect he will give it 15 minutes and bring on Jones. We did play better as the half progressed, but the midfield isnāt working as intended.

In fairness to Mabaya he has played less than 500 minutes across 10 games at any level in the last two years due to injury.
