Both Quansah and Szoboszlai are fit and available.

Szoboszlai from the bench if anything. Give him 30 minutes to get set for the Forest game.

I’m still curious as to what this illness is, because I’m sure it has been affecting a lot of the squad.

Available, didn’t say he was starting. I’d imagine @Mascot’s team is a real possibility, except that we might start Núñez as well, because he’s suspended against Forest anyway.

I hope he drinks his milk. Ian Rush says that if Núñez doesn’t drink milk he wouldn’t be good enough to score against Accrington Stanley.

If Chiesa cannot get a game here and is fit. Then sell him.

Forgot all about that. I’d modify @Mascot’s team with benching Nyoni, putting Chiesa on and shifting Elliott to where he’s got Nyoni.

Lots of combinations to play with there, depending on how the match goes, since we could also play Endō at the back instead of Nallo, or give Konaté some minutes replacing the latter as a sub, giving Elliott a go at a more withdrawn midfield position, etc. Danns can also go in left wing, but so can Núñez.

I think we might see a stronger team than people are expecting though, with Jota probably having some minutes at some point.

I like this. It could go tits up, but it’s worth the risk in order to keep our main players out of the firing line.

The only player I’d consider for a start is Nunez, given that he hasn’t played as much as others, and is a confidence player. Scoring two or three in this game could do him the world of good. And he could really go on a rampage against this kind of opposition, with his wild playing style.

Who’s excited for this 1 tomorrow then.

I am. I love the domestic cups for this, where we get to see some of the lesser-spotted players, and if you’re not @Sweeting, one of the rare occasions to see some of the more highly-rated youth.

I agree about the importance of featuring Nunez and him scoring to get some confidence.
Hope it’s an easy game without injuries and that lots of squad players can impress Slot.

Unrelated, but @Nikola, you had to post the Kvara rumour, you just had to…

A mate at our pub was describing this advert a week ago. I laughed loudly…not thinking it was actually that way when it came out.

Indeed it was!

Kelleher
Bradley Quansah Konate Tsimikas
Morton Endo Nyoni
Elliott Nunez Chiesa

Rest most of the big guns. Konate gets 45 minutes for fitness reasons. Think Morton is fit but if not McConnell instead. Finally a chance to see Chiesa get a start and hopefully Nunez can prove his worth at this level. Would prefer to play Elliott in midfield but also desperately keen not to have Mo starting.

On the bench a mix of young lads like Nallo, Ngumoha and Danns plus a couple heavy hitters if needs be.

Fully expect Slot will go with a stronger starting eleven though with a view to getting it done and dusted early and then introducing some youngsters where he can.

If he has no worth at Accrington Stanley’s level he should seek a new career path.

No disrespect to the Stans.

I was thinking of saving him for the Forest game, but I forgot he got himself booked didn’t he, the daft prick.

He wouldn’t have started that game anway so…

But yeah, he should get a start here and hopefully help both the team and himself.

Surely Nunez and Chiesa will start. If not in this game, when?
