True
Yeah some clear lessons from today and last weeks:
- need to play a RB (not Curtis there);
- Mo needs to be taken off when he’s playing like this;
- Luis and Cody are our two reliable forwards at present;
- Virg looks like he needs Allison back or something. Worrying and surely a clear sign that we need to sign a CB this summer.
Very piss poor, not sure why they keep needing a rocket up them at half time.
Pissed off with that, draw would have been fine as well.
Suppose it gives a wake up call to those think it’s won.
What really upsets me about this game is how easily we lose concentration in these sort of matches, the most frustrating being Konate.
Its a continued theme with this team
Bradley could play any position in midfield I think, his energy is excellent.
Are we having a post-match thread, or are our admins as lackadaisical as our centre-backs?
Conceding 3 goals in the first half is unacceptable in any circumstances.
Jones at RB given his penchant for ball hogging at all times is a disaster waiting to happen. He also offered nothing out wide in the first half, both defensively and offensively. Even when Jones moved to the middle, it wasn’t anything special as well. Bradley coming on and his willingness to run beyond his winger is a lovely sight to see.
Kelleher is a decent Gk but not a GK that wins you games.
Jota has a good leap and good brains but not that physicality. Nunez is the total opposite of Jota lol…
As for Robbo, it is the game of 2 halves. First half, Robbo gets burned and was really bad defensively. Second half, a more physical and combative LW comes on and Robbo begins to be more offensively stronger…Robbo can’t play 2 games in a week already…
Not targeting you personally, but I mean, what a big surprise. I said this against PSG, and against Newcastle, and suddenly people are only just waking up to this? We’ve been playing with our fourth-choice right-back and a midfielder shoe-horned into right-back, a position from which we usually derive a substantial amount of our creativity.
Slot needs to make the Hungarian watch what Bradley did for the 2nd goal on a 24 hour loop.
If Szoboslai starts next week I’ll lose my shit completely.
The Robbo thing has been obvious for some months.
FFS @Mascot
Have you not watched Szoboszlai over his entire time in Liverpool?
And it wasn’t addressed in the summer or the winter window…sigh…
Only good thing to come out of this was Bradley coming back frankly.
Apparently not, judging by comments on here.
Yes, I have.
Looked like the complete midfielder for 2 months then turned into a poor man’s Jamie Redknapp.
The signs were there…
@RedWhippet started the thread
@kone posted the lineup without the official picture
@Mascot did not start the post match thread before kick off
Exactly. As I said earlier, I wonder if Arne is actually making a point by playing Curtis there. Ie. We need a RB as well as a LB (and CB). I think he’s going to want a bigger summer refurb than many on here have talked about. We’ve been underdone in the last couple of years and need to refresh
What did he do wrong? Beaten by a great bit of skill. Least of our worries in defence
