I sort of think this is hitting that stage that Rafa was so good at thinking through, making sure his side picked its way through the knock-out rounds by staying off the ropes late in the away leg.

Itâs a technical weird one. I can see why they gave handball. It hit his arm and it ended up leading to a goal. I also thought Van Dijk was being fouled, and the most telling contact was off the goalie, whoâs ricocheted it in for an own goal. Thatâs how I saw it.
Still, the handball decision, with the current rule, wasnât the worst decision.
Sure, but that isnt the rule. Disallowing a goal for inadvertent contact with the hand/arm applies only if it is the goal scorer. If its an OG then Ibou isnt the goal scorer and more normal handball rules apply
