Right let’s get this put to bed for a few weeks at least.
It’s tempting to say that we should start the regulars, then rest them when we’re 3-0 up but that isn’t the way we are playing at the moment.
I’d just rest the starters and give the minutes to the backups. A draw should be enough to see us through.
I think the fringe players and then fill the gaps hopefully Jota isn’t long term.
Chiesa Nunez Gakpo in attack.
Feels like they would be more likely to be able to get to 3-0 up to get rested…
Kelleher, Bradley, Quansah, Virgil, Tsimikas, Morton, Endo, Jones, Elliott, Nunez, Danns.
Kelleher
Bradley Endo Quansah Robbo
Morton Jones
Chiesa Harvey Diaz
Nunez
Although Arne will no doubt want to maintain that 100% CL record and probably only make 1 change (at LB).
If players like Harvey, Endo, Chiesa don’t start this, then what’s the point in life.
Strong team with in game rest and all five subs. We’re shit when we have a week off.
The point in life was already revealed today
It’s quite odd that very few of the teams who can still equal or better our points tally in this actually play each other in the last 2 rounds of fixtures.
This will probably result in us playing a stronger team than we’d want to ideally.
Maybe go with Bradley and Robbo as FB’s, VVD and Konate 45 minutes each alongside Quansah at CB although Slot has shown no indication so far he’d do this.
Endo, Jones and Elliott in the middle with Chiesa, Nunez and Diaz up top.
Reality is VVD will play the full 90 and either MacAllister or Grav will too. Salah will also be fuming if he doesn’t play.
Playing on the Tuesday helps, providing nobody picks up an injury there is ample rest time before Ipswich at the weekend.
Bradley Quansah Endo Robbo
Morton
Elliott Jones
Chiesa Nuñez Díaz
Agree with that, except perhaps for Cody over Lucho.
A close up look at Jonathan David?
Wouldn’t start Morton, if we want Endo can do a job. Expect a few changes for sure, but it’ll still be a “serious” side. Give Nunez the start and see if he can score again (though he fluffed again a few before his goals), build more momentum.
Does anyone know much about Lille? They are currently 3rd in the French league, and appear to draw frequently away from home.
I’m thinking that Lille at home should be easier than PSG away, but I don’t want to count my chickens.
I was just trying to give Virg and Ibou a rest.
We’d have to play one of them if Endo goes into MF.
I’m sure that Arne and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this game. COYR YNWA
Close to £2m for every win in the league stage. I think Slot will once again go stronger than most people think.
Good thing we play PSV then!
Indeed we do! I really need new reading glasses.
