Alberto Thiago, he can play left back and CM. Our answer to TAA for the left side.
He probably isn’t good enough but he’s fast and will post loads of LFC love on his socials.
Not too bothered about the rest of the formation or players but Nunez must come on, with substantial minutes leff to play.

From my memory Jurgen keeps the same 11 or as much as he can prior to the first international break.
I don’t mind the latter lineup but would prefer it in a 4-2-3-1 with Cody in the hole rather than being asked to play in midfield entirely. It would be a little bit of a shame for Nunez but I can understand playing him off the bench.
Important to finish this match well with a win.

This will be our most difficult game to date this season…
Hmm I don’t think it will but each to their own.
Beat Everton and Burnley but weren’t at it against this Newcastle team.
Be a tough game but 10 men against Newcastle especially away was tougher.
Depends how long we have to play with 10 on Sunday

Then again maybe you are right watching this PL game now.
Still think Newcastle away last week was harder simply as we haven’t seen Villa play against someone perceived as good bar Newcastle and they got thrashed.
Diaby and Watkins will be a handful for our back up defence. We will need to be at it to keep them out.
Going the other way we have so much firepower we should have too much for them. Should be a good game.
We just need to keep it compact when out of possession like Newcastle were in that opening game…if you play to their strengths and let them run into open space in behind then you’re gonna have a rough afternoon. Last thing you want is being stretched apart, that’s when the gaps appear, that’s when you start to lose your shape collectively.

Pre-match buildup, kicked the family out (well, they’re doing their own thing) now a little shopping, put a pot on for tea and hello match. The fridge will be open the second I get home, first game I’ve watched live all season. And by live I mean the TV, getting to Anfield is a rare treat.
Expecting a continuation of our good performances. Darwin to start please and a commanding 3-0 win would be perfect.
Then watch Goldbridge combust when Arsenal score 5 against them.
