i think they are showing up because we are allowing them to, that simple.

Some of it is from the way we play the ball to his feet rather than into space

Barnes blaming Jones for Enzo’s chance that is all down to Ibou.

Definitely. We should have kept going. It’s perplexing that we sat back after drawing first blood. It’s one of the reasons why I think Slot will get the chop. The killer instinct has gone.

I just don’t like watching that kind of football, even if we win. Winning helps a lot ofc, but it’s never a real joy other than Liverpool getting points and all, as well as the flashes of entertainment when we fire at the goal or have an exciting run (not often).
I so, so wish we played more direct and much faster going forward.

Not sure its about a single player

Gakpo 6 touches that half. Almost made as many fouls.

But I guess because it’s not Isak, we can’t make a big deal about it huh? This giraffe is the single reason we’re not going into HT 1 up, sick and tired of watching this dud play.

Commentary team makes me want to end it all nevermind our team.

I’m not watching but it all sounds like another version of risk management with a dose of Dutch total football to me.

We’re just not very good at it.

I am at my father’s birthday party and I fucking swore loudly when I saw Enzo scored on my phone…My whole family just stared at me disapprovingly…Sigh

Just want to say I completely agree with the sentiment several have expressed that we should not have let them back in, and should have kept going after scoring. We looked pretty good early on, but then Chelsea piled on and looked more threatening, both in scoring and also having a few other chances.

Mama made some good saves and in the end we are lucky to go in at 1-1.

The only angle I’m adding to the discussion is that I knew that these frauds would turn up today and give a decent account of themselves. On paper they are clearly one of the upper teams in the Prem, but their issues have been even greater than ours, and they have fallen off from where they should be even more than we have.

Second half coming up. I’m hoping Will Wright comes on and nabs the winner!

The most damning observation is we were the perfect opponent for an out of sorts side that goes behind early. If there was any team that was going to give you the opportunity to sort your own shit out and play your way in to confidence it is us.
We’ve gone from a side who lived to make life horrible for the opposition to one opposition players love playing against.

It’s the hope that kills, we started well, passing with purpose, players looked up for it, scored, then 5 mins later, the intensity went we ceded possesion and the ascendency was all Chelsea.

How many times do we do this.

Yes, we are bad, but Slot said he knows what the problem is and everything will be better next season.

In that 10 minute spell before the goal we could all see coming, they exploited that area time and time again.

This is where some in game management needed to come in. Push your actual right back into that position for a bit if need be to stem the flow. Instead we got too see Chelsea exploit the space in the that area several times.

As it is, we’re playing a makeshift right back and a makeshift wide forward. Can someone make it make sense.

There’s two teams of frauds on the pitch.
