Yeah we need to take 7 points from our three home games.

We have some wriggle room with the away games, but we have to win at home. Come on Liverpool.

Results seem to be going for us a little. We need to take care of business and get it done.

This season? 2-1. The loss was Forest

That I think might have been a unique low

4th time is always the charm, we’ve got this in the bag.

People started leaving with 20 minutes left on the Anfield clock

Don’t blame them, losing 3-0 to a Dyche team.

Some of the older fans were so incensed they forgot that they needed canes/walking sticks to stand up. At least Slot helped them break through some mental barriers

Looks like Gomez is fit…Don’t think anyone is missing elsewhere.

It does look very catalogued, that’s the photographers viewpoint so totally get that.

I’ve also enjoyed the sunshine in the North West for the past 3 days, it’s been a nice change.

The players are looking happy, it’s a good squad and they are in a good place. Mo also still big smiles, it’s not too late to see out that last year you know

It’s the typical training photos. I only look to see if anyone is missing.

Arne’s excuses… part 34:

  • Goalkeeping situation: Mama out, Ali close. Woodman definitely fit.
  • Next season planning: Slot says that he is focusing on this season. Margins are small etc… (question interestingly dodged).
  • Breathing space for CL qualifying: Last 8 games have given us 16 points. Form acceptable.
  • Fan protest re ticket prices: Disagreement are about best interest for club. Fans still offer support to team despite protest. Woodman need lots of support from fans.
  • Woodman: Experienced 3rd keeper. Happy to have him on free transfer. Good guy and well liked.
  • No wins vs Palace recently: players make it difficult and they have a good manager. Difficult to create chances against them. Very direct on break with good attackers. Don’t concede many chances.
  • Salah: Important to have attackers that score goals. Things going back to normal for Mo.
  • Isak: Best scenario would be a good pre-season. Good World Cup might help with that. Happy that he is back. He is catching up on training time. We are seeing progress.
  • Alisson - contract situation and future: Slot only focussed on short term and getting him back in goal. Arne doesn’t discuss rumours and contracts! No facts to be reported.
  • Ali injury situation: Looking into it. Trying to avoid muscle injuries through training. Schedule bigger problem than age.
  • Rio not playing many minutes with 1st choice strikers: He has played a lot of minutes. Problem is more availability of other players (our No 9s.) We have missed goalscorers this season.
  • The Hungarian question. Keeper? Good keeper? Didn’t hear question properly. Ármin Pécsi, I think. If he needs to come on, Slot happy with him.
  • Gomez: back in squad and hopefully back by end of season.
  • Hugo: Surgery went well but it is a long process.

To be fair, couldn’t really expect him to say anything differently given we’re still in a fight for CL places

Didn’t realize quite how dismal our record against Palace has been - 3 wins and 4 losses in the last 10 in all competitions, 3 straight losses, with an Anfield streak of 2 losses and 2 draws since our last home win. Worse than I expected, and my expectations were not high.

I knew it was crap, I have had the sense of them being a bogey team, but was surprised at the Anfield bit.
