Our next league match is at home vs Palace at the pleasingly traditional kick-off time of 3pm on Saturday. Unfortunately, that does mean that it won’t be live on telly in the UK.
We have a string off tough matches after this, so a good result here would give us some breathing space in the pursuit of Champions League football next season.
Palace have a European fixture of their own next week and have a couple of key players injured:
Match Officials: Referee: Andy Madley. Assistants: Simon Bennett, Craig Taylor. Fourth official: Paul Tierney. VAR: Neil Davies. Assistant VAR: Sian Massey-Ellis.
We have a bit of a tricky run in over the remaining games. Palace especially over the last year have been a bit of a thorn in our side, so it won’t be easy but there is still something, somewhere in this Liverpool side that can get us the points if it shows up.
I hope we also get to see Mo with some goals and assists over the next few games, so he gets to bow out having helped claw us back into the Champions League, and his story with us not as tarnished as it was looking a few months back.
Also hope we start to get to see something from Isak and a bit more from Wirtz, to give us something positive, narrative wise, to take into next season.
This is a very important match in fact the most important match until the next.
We have entered the business end of the season and need a win to look better in the table than we are on the pitch.
Could be an interesting game. The lads could do with scoring an early goal so that they can start playing their game, if they have one.
Our injury situation doesn’t help even so we still have quality even if we don’t have many options.
Com’on redmen!
Just been offered two season tickets for the Anfield road stand. They include hospitality but nevertheless the cost is staggering £16,800 + vat ….each!
