PreMatch | Liverpool vs Everton | PL Matchday 30 | Wednesday April 2nd 20:00h

I would imagine Alisson is still concussion. He really got whacked against Colombia for Brazil, and if he’s in any way borderline for the derby, an abundance of caution seems the right way to go against those yard dogs.

As for the attack, I’m backing them to do well. It has already been pointed out that Diaz and Jota looked sharp on the international break. And I like the idea of bringing Nunez on around the hour mark, as Everton start to tire. Gakpo is working his way back to match fitness and he might see some action. I also liked what I saw of Chiesa and I hope he sees some action, if not today, then before the season end.

We have six attackers there, and we should have the formula to switch them in and out so at any given time the three on the pitch can perform.

Formation? I would go with a 343, although I would be slightly concerned if Beto managed to get himself into a 1v1 aerially with Robbo.

We are much the better side and should win. In a way we need to, to put the disappointment of the last couple behind us, and put wind in our sails for the run-in. It’s not do or die as we have margin to spare, but we should be looking to put the hammer down and get this done, ASAP.

Alisson cant be concussion. Hes been training

Hopefully it’s not another minor muscle thing.

Anyone on X has Joyce or Pearce said anything they usually do?

That’s what I am lost with, fit to train fully, should equal fit to play and you would have he would have to pass concussion tests to do that?

Unless the issue is with potential contact in a game

Gakpo call seems strange. Heard he was great for Holland. Maybe overplayed by them?

Seemingly he failed the concussion test yesterday:

When was the injury. I was under the impression that it was a knock on the head. Possibly it’s a whiplash type thing?

You would’ve thought over the past week they would have done these tests…

Play the team not the game because the team is pretty average but so are we if we drop down to their level.

Early goal to settle the nerves. Another before the hour mark. See it out, nothing silly.

I’ve got a feeling about Jota tonight.

Our players need to compete but must have an eye on not giving away stupid freekicks as Evertons game plan with set pieces

Least that’s clarified.

But maybe he is fine but concussion protocol doesn’t allow him to play.

15th game missed this season. Quite a lot.

Assume it’s two different tests. One to train and one to play.

Nah it was just a gentleman’s agreement Arne had with Kelleher to let the latter have this game.
