It was confusing but didn’t unsettle the Magpies.
I thought Frimpong was ok vs Newcastle. He isn’t a long term option but can help out for a season if he keeps his head. He also seems a fun guy and we need some character as far as I’m concerned.
After seeing us against Newcastle I think it best to give the whole squad a fresh slate and watch if things evolve in the desired direction.
Frimpong is a classic example there wasn’t any of that headless chicken frenetics of last season.

Nothing less than a convincing performance and a win would do to calm all of us down and for Iraola to really stamp his mark for his Anfield debut.
And as much use as the Maginot Line when the opposition just go around the sides.

Yeah, consistency is key. The players need to accustom themselves with what Iraola wants.
