Just realized Forest are playing Leeds in the League Cup tomorrow night. Early kickoff on Saturday should help us.

I wonder how he will try and fuck us over this time?

I’m interested to see what Forest put out in the League Cup. I would imagine that it would be a reasonable punt for them.

They lost against same Leeds two days ago. Guess they have to go as strong as possible.

It might well be a joke that we have to return to this, but Szoboszlai at RB is probably a better use of him and at the same time free up space in midfield to have the other pair in.

Not like Gravenberch is great but Szoboszlai’s awareness is like he’s playing in a tunnel sometimes.

Few things from that half joked lineup.

  • I really think Szoboszlai is a much better RB than Frimpong. Won’t happen anyway.

  • Gravenberch was very good as the #6 in the title winning season. Why not try again?

  • I really think Wirtz full potential can only be unlocked here as a #8 / LCM. Would probably require hardworking Szoboszlai / Wijnaldum type of player next to him. But really don’t think the single #10 works for Wirtz.

  • Rio as a LW is a special talent. Looks average on the right side imo.

  • I think Gakpo is a better CF than Isak

Won’t apologize for this post.

Bye :see_no_evil_monkey:

Either the same lineup as Newcastle, or Munoz in for Rio with Rio coming on around the 60-minute mark.

What’s the point of hiring a new manager if we all want him to throw out his system after one match?

If you swap out a couple of players in like-for-like changes (Macca for Szoboszlai, Nyoni for Gravenberch, or Munoz for Rio), I’m fine with that. But keep the 4-4-1-1 (4-2-3-1?, whatever it is, stick with the system) going. It’s what Iraola plays, and we need at least a couple of months of trying it.

Alisson. Jo. JJ. Virgil, Kerkez, Szoboslai, Gravenberch, McAllister, Munoz, Gakpo, Wirtz.

Assuming Gakpo is still here…

… Alisson…
Szoboszlai… Jacquet…Virgil… Kerkez
…Nyoni… Grav…
…Munoz…Wirtz…Gakpo…
…Isak…

Whatever it takes to win. Till reinforcements come in.

I know this is a bit radical but how about we sign a fucking right-back?

pish. cop the newb to footer here lads.

OK, have it your way, sign a ‘right back’ as you like to frame it… is he a vertical horizontal right back with succesful carry numbers, or is he a horizontal, non vertical right back with less forward passes over distance, does he prefer to be inverted, or aggressively wide? presume you mean you want one that has favorable aggressive tackling and lower percentile dribble past stats, or are you more interested in diagonal long ball success rate…

right back?..ha…pffft…newb.

Can’t we just buy someone with all of them :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

in the target age of 21-24 with a professional game range of 50-149 games, experience of top five leagues and in budget? … fucks sake, dont want much do you?

actually just found one that ticks all of these boxes, in the dutch league… currently injured aswell, so fits like a glove

After his last performance I wouldn’t drop Gakpo!

Victor for Rio and we win 3-0.

Agree with all of this right now. Would even add that Frimpong can play RW with Dom at RB if that’s needed.
