On a not-so-bad note…Arsenal (with 11 men) held at home by Blueshite. :joy:

We were poor in the added time but we did have 10 men.

Does seem like Chelsea will be the main challengers with ourselves.

It’s excellent to get a point from such a difficult fixture. Fulham were a stern test for our squad, credit to them. Our lads weren’t good enough for the three points, but well, it’s a bit like the Newcastle game: we take what we get, and go on to the next match.

Great effort from us with 10 men. Almost win it

Oh, I jumped the gun there, my bad! Hope you had a blast!

No worries mate, I had you covered here.

One of those you’d be disappointed with a hypothetical point before the game, but would have snatched at it when we were 1 down on both the scoreboard and the pitch within 20 minutes.

2 points dropped.

Injuries can’t come back soon enough and we desperately need reinforcements at the back in Jan.

You do get freak games like this throughout the season, so yeah, take the point and move on.

Slot and the coaching staff also need to experience stuff like this in the league, so he can learn more about us, and improve overall.

More rotation was needed in recent weeks. Playing the same team will get the results, but come March, we’ll be out of stream.

Positives of course coming abck twoce and playing most of the game with 10 men. Need to get back to winning ways against Spurs. Carling Cup needs major rotation. The likes of Salah shouldn’t even be on the bench.

Agreed. Fulham are in their best start ever in the League, and Arsenal failed to beat them as well.
We could have, but conceding an unlucky goal and a red, going to HT, and coming back to win the second half with 10 men and the lads giving their all, is what we all wanted to see. Having conceded a second unfortunate goal, denied us turning this game around completely.

Fulham were very physical, especially in that first half. They easily should have seen red, but it was us. 1-0 down and chasing it. We came out second half on fire and drew level. Sadly we went down again and were chasing it again.

We dug deep and drew level again, and gave a big push for the winner but it wasn’t to be.

It’s two points dropped at home to a team we should beat, but on the other hand, the middle pack of the Premier League is stronger than it has ever been, with a number of teams able to play and spoil the day of the big boys. It makes the league much better, but even so, we should be winning that.

Given the way it unfolded a draw is not to be scoffed at. Onwards and upwards.

Ref was shite too.

Ibou is expected to be back around the time the window opens and that wont just be a benefit in terms of having such a good player back but allows Joe to be used differently.

I’d agree, but I think apart from midfield it mainly wasn’t possible? Injuries really constrained our options there. We pretty much only had Díaz, Gakpo, Núñez, and Salah as forward options and regularly rotated between them all (and Arne claimed before the game that’s why Núñez didn’t start).

Defence-wise though I think Arne prefers to play players in position, so when Bradley and Tsimikas went down it also made it difficult.
