Klopp and Fabinho having some issues this season.
He slipped because he was no where near where Gomez blindly played the ball to and so had to try to abruptly change direction. It probably wouldnt have been a goal without the slip, but it would have been close.
This. Even if Ali was where gomez played the ball to, the right ball from Gomez would have still been to drop it into where Ali was moving to. It puts it onto his favoured foot and eliminates any threat from a striker trying to charge him down. Even if Ali was there the ball would have played him into some trouble.
