Emergency meeting in progress…to cancel game…
Picture of the Albert Dock this morning. It doesn’t look too bad, but obviously Anfield is up a hill.
Mission is clear. Don’t let the title race to be decided in January.
So this will be called off.
To be fair, the rate things are going for the other teams, they’re doing that all by themselves. We could rack up 5 games in hand and probably still be 5 points ahead.
Some pictures of the stadium. Council meeting at 9am.
It’s 1 am and I’m too nervous to sleep.
Looks like a 50/50 now. Had the meeting been at 11 its more of a yes. Now they will only take into account the current situation i guess.
Wouldn’t they take the forecast into account? My app shows rain expected at 11 am.
They would also need to factor in the ground temp. If it is expected to be -0 through the day then the risk becomes snow/rain freezing and turning into ice which would then be a safety issue.
i guess the issue is if temp continues to drop then snow will turn to ice
World has gone soft, when I was a lad …
Just imagine @cynicaloldgit back in the Ice Age
Apparently, Liverpool and Manchester Airports runways have been closed due to snow.
In 1963 the season was extended by 4 weeks. That was the year of the big freeze. Not had winter like that since. I remember it well…
Seriously hope they dont cancel it and the roads gets better once it rains a bit. Pitch i am sure will be immaculate as usual. Lets get this on guys.
Snowing again here
I didnt think i will be refreshing twitter to see if the game is on or not. This is becoming like a Transfer update
No snowplows there or what?
Looks like we will be winning the league without playing Expecting Wolves to win against Nottingham Forest on Monday at this rate
It’s off.
