Ultimately frustrating and we’ve been our own worst enemy with poor passing and lazy defending (mostly from Trent).
But its 0-0 and we’ve created good chances, just not frequently enough. Need to go up another gear. I know people joked about 10-0 wins etc but the important thing here is 3pts, not scoring a tonne.
Conditions aren’t easy but we have to be patient too many poor passes and hopeful balls.
Be patient make them run chasing the ball and pick our opportunities, those saying we play too slow, that only appplies to too many touches, playing too fast/long is the reason we are giving the ball away.
Exactly mate. Trent will be key in this game if he is on it. Salah needs to cut inside a bit and Trent has to run up the win and cross with Diaz and Gapko close to each other and Jones/Macca making a run into the box
The usual bedwetters getting their knickers in a twist because we’re not 3-0 up at half time. The fact that unrealistic expectations of 10-0 and the like were being bandied about before the game doesn’t help, of course.
Granted, we’ve wasted a few good opportunities and the visitors have had a decent chance or two themselves, but it’s as though our own supporters haven’t been paying attention to our games this season.
Arne will make the necessary adjustments and we will win 2-0.
A typically underwhelming game so far, with a logical result: one shot on target on each side, with admittedly two great saves from both keepers to keep the nil at the back.
Our game doesn’t flow for the time being, hopefully that will change, but the mancs do enough to keep us out so far. We need lot more quick interplay, and a more accurate passing of the ball. It has all been very ponderous and imprecise in key moments.
Hopefully our lads will find their game during the second half, and the mancs might commit a mistake or tire down, so we can stick the knife in and score a goal or two, taking the three points. Fingers crossed!
