PreMatch | Liverpool vs Man United | PL Matchday 20 | Sunday January 5th 16:30h

Ultimately frustrating and we’ve been our own worst enemy with poor passing and lazy defending (mostly from Trent).

But its 0-0 and we’ve created good chances, just not frequently enough. Need to go up another gear. I know people joked about 10-0 wins etc but the important thing here is 3pts, not scoring a tonne.

A bit like the Forest game this hopefully not the same result.

Salah too far wide atm. We need to tweak our approach play.

Conditions aren’t easy but we have to be patient too many poor passes and hopeful balls.

Be patient make them run chasing the ball and pick our opportunities, those saying we play too slow, that only appplies to too many touches, playing too fast/long is the reason we are giving the ball away.

TAA playing like shit on both sides of the ball

Not great by our current standard, but still had a few sweet plays and chances in there. On the other hand Utd had the greatest header ever.

Exactly mate. Trent will be key in this game if he is on it. Salah needs to cut inside a bit and Trent has to run up the win and cross with Diaz and Gapko close to each other and Jones/Macca making a run into the box

We got Jota and Nunez on the bench. :grinning:

The usual bedwetters getting their knickers in a twist because we’re not 3-0 up at half time. The fact that unrealistic expectations of 10-0 and the like were being bandied about before the game doesn’t help, of course.

Granted, we’ve wasted a few good opportunities and the visitors have had a decent chance or two themselves, but it’s as though our own supporters haven’t been paying attention to our games this season.

Arne will make the necessary adjustments and we will win 2-0.

A few disappointing performances, but to be fair the weather is absolutely shite. Must be horrible to play in.

Diaz hasn’t been in it, Jones believing his own hype about ball retention, and Trent looks fair too casual.

But for all Neville’s tedious bluster, Man Utd haven’t been that good. They have passed the ball well, but you’d expect that from any PL side.

HT 0-0:

A typically underwhelming game so far, with a logical result: one shot on target on each side, with admittedly two great saves from both keepers to keep the nil at the back.

Our game doesn’t flow for the time being, hopefully that will change, but the mancs do enough to keep us out so far. We need lot more quick interplay, and a more accurate passing of the ball. It has all been very ponderous and imprecise in key moments.

Hopefully our lads will find their game during the second half, and the mancs might commit a mistake or tire down, so we can stick the knife in and score a goal or two, taking the three points. Fingers crossed!

Lol. I for once didn’t expect that kind of a scoreline. We will win this and glad we didn’t concede.

Yeah but 10-1 in the end, right?

Never agreed it was gonna be a cricket score. Overconfident in my opinion.

Does anyone see Trent as being an on field captain, he is too inconsitent concentration wise and doesn’t set an example.

Roy Keane embarrassing himself on commentary. Sturridge puts his head in his hands with a look that says ‘what a fucking prick’

Too many sideways passing and allowing them to load their defence. Lets try and stretch them a bit.

Ah, the start of the Mascot and Trent bromance…

Some of you thought it was going to be easy and we should rest players for Accrington Stanley. Lol

Such a lazy and easy target to go for Trent. He hasn’t been great but that’s just disrespectful from Keane
