Even him taking Anthony out is a bit of growth from him. Heās always looked decent when the ball comes to him, but heās started to find ways to make the game to him a bit more.
If it makes him and anyone else who feel the need to get in my face feel better so be it ā¦

Normally Im ok with it, but there was definitely one case where the decision to play on after the flag was raised was with us struggling to maintain possessions, made a messy clearance and ended up giving away a free kick on the half way line. Thatās just a bad application though

Going back to that Martinez swipe at Salah (not even a free kick btw), had it been Bruno on the end of that, he wouldāve milked a red card out of the clueless ref.

Iād totally be for this if we could be confident of ball recovery in the right areas.
Sadly given the season we are having we canāt be confident of this
Itās almost a 50/50 game, but we have been slightly better. A positive surprise. Great goal. Ref missed an obvious foul on Martinez which could probably have been a yellow too (but I am not fussed by lack of card, but that free kick in a good position should be given 100/100 times).
I doubt Ten Haag is happy, seen them much better this season but very happy with us.
Next half we have an advantage since they must score, which should open up for counter attacks.
Considering our season and form, this is a top game from us even though we sometimes lose alertness and tempo and also become A tad sloppy. But a very strong Liverpool half and good to watch.
