This is absolutely unacceptable from our forwards. Seems like they play without any concentration.
Lessons not learned - Leeds away and Real Madrid at home were prime examples lately when you are not 100% in front of goal.
And knowing our season those pricks will score a lucky goal, they will sit back and we will pass the ball without intention.
This game had to be over at half time, if Mane, Salah and Jota used even 50% of their chances.
Now I am waiting for another nail biting 45 minutes for us.

In terms of football, this has to go down as one of our better performances of the season. The 4231 favours a fluid style of football. A lot of quick forward passes find a forward, we look also dangerous from the wings. The result has been a lot of clear-cut chances for us, I’d say eight or nine.
Fortunately, there is this early Salah goal, a very difficult shot and unlikely to hit the target, but fantastically well taken. All the missed chances after that one were easier to convert. Jota, Mané, Salah have missed sitters.
It should be 4 or five nil, but the question is first and foremost: can the lads keep their level up, or will they deflate like at Leeds the other night?
They absolutely need to continue like that, and score their opportunities, because Newcastle look dangerous when going forward at times. St. Maximin looks like he is on form, their forward moves are good and manage to break our defensive line a bit too often for my liking. No doubt that our 4231 allows them a bit more freedom in midfield.
Hopefully our lads can keep it up and… SCORE THEIR F°©∆¡~@ CHANCES when they come along.

Robbo’s chance creation/ assists have reduced as well I believe. Maybe more cautious going forward with no VVD a reason?
That’s where we again miss the fans inside Anfield. Our forwards could really use the adrenaline rush given by the supporters pushing them forward.

Even when he holds the ball with 2 hand Mariner has to think hard before awarding a penalty. Only Jota was protesting the rest of the team takes his BS like lame ducks
