Endo might play that well he relegates Konate to the bench on his return

I really hope Endo isn’t playing at CB.
I would prefer Gravenberch there, with Jones at 6.

It could be, we might see both in the near future…

I personally thought when Gomez had to go off against Bournemouth, we would rather put Jones in and drop Gravenberch to RCB, instead of Endo.

By the way, Qarabag’s manager Gurban Gurbanov has been in that role since 2008 (he also was Azerbaijan’s selector for a few months in the 17/18 season).

821 games in charge of Qarabag, 17 trophies won with them.

We should be winning this, right???

Bit wary about midfielders at the back after Fabinho and Hendo.

Because there tall doesn’t mean much else. If it was the other side I’d consider Robbo.

Still can’t beat Titi. Still brings a tear to my eye.

I genuinely don’t understand this Mascot. He is a young man who lost his father, and is grieving perhaps a hugely important figure in his life. He might need the time.

You quite rightly acknowledge the loss of Diogo Jota as a factor for his teammates turmoil and realise that grief has an impact on everyone, professional footballers included.

It’s a bit double standard to be dissapointed in Ibou then?

Already getting in the excuses about they resting players for their last league game, we might as well had also with the performance they put in.
Does he put Endo beside virgil or Grav? We know gakpo starts but with him and mo together its like having a player sent off. We need to avoid 2 more cl games.

I’ve already answered this. I’m disappointed that he isn’t back yet. I’m not suggesting he is taking the piss. The first does not automatically equate to the second.

Do you think a player in emotional turmoil should just return?
I think he gets a pass, the match tonight isn’t as important as Newcastle. And if he’s not right for that, then so be it. Its not his fault we are ill equipped at CB.

No I don’t. And that isn’t what I’m saying. I’m disappointed he’s not back yet. I’m not angry at him.

Konate will be back soon (I think for Newcastle) and his grief won’t go away for a while. It might be even worse then, who knows.

We cannot compare these things to any other cases, Ali, Jota or whatever.

He’s obviously in talks with the club, with Arne and it’s not like he’ll go missing for a long time.

Fair enough

Exactly. People process grief differently.

It may be that Ibou comes back, plods and wallows in misery, or he comes back and pulls up trees in his father’s memory. Whatever he does, he is a Red, and we should all be behind him helping prop him up.

I’ve been pondering what our back 4 will be for this.

Slot said that he would consider Dom at RB, which sounds like he is bolted on. Also he said that he would play a midfielder at CB. Endo and Grav would seem to be the obvious options.

I’m wondering if he is planning:

Robbo - VVD - Grav - Dom

And then play Frimpong on the right wing?
