PreMatch | Liverpool vs Wolves | PL Matchday 25 | Sunday February 16th 14:00h

It will determine how far we go I would say it’s a big test but that’s been done to death.

React well and get back on track.

It’s about matching Arsenal through this period at the very least . Basically the longer you do that the better it becomes.

If we don’t win this then its a worrying trend that matches last years loss to Man U in the FA cup. No pressure, and don’t bother correcting me as this is how I remember last years “derailment”, so any counter argument is a conspiracy theory. So in conclusion, we will only win the EFL cup if we don’t win this game, which is not good enough imo.

And Jota down the middle, end of story.

Maybe we have learnt those lessons anyhow it’s another day.

No more Diaz as a Number 9. Left wing or the bench. The starting 9 should be one of Jota or Nunez. Case closed.

Im hoping we better Arsenals draw at Leicester.

Exactly. No imagine we are putting in robust 50/50 challenges. Cards would be flying and we’d be done players each match

Wolves are playing a bit better now but we should have too much for them. After the frustration of the derby I think we will see a bit of a siege mentality kick in that will serve us well. The rest of the month is all about the Prem, nothing else. Four games. This is the easiest one on paper, and it would be careless in the extreme to drop points.

I think we will see a good win here, 3-1 is my prediction.

Three points, no injuries the main thing.

I also fully expect Arsenal to win as Leicester are crap, but there’s an outside chance they nick a draw. Here’s hoping…

I really hope Arne and the lads can focus on the Wolves match better than TAN posters can.
At the back, Robbo needs a rest and Trent should be fit.
With Jones out, the midfield picks itself.
Up front, as others have stated, Lucho needs a break. I’d expect Darwin at CF.

Ali
Trent Ibou Virg Tsimi
Gravy Macca Dom
Mo Darwin Gakkers

Let’s hope we see a good reaction.

Because @RedWhippet is having a lie-in it seems.

0900Z. Arne’s not having a lie-in.

@cynicaloldgit feel better now?

Not really.

This thread will soon descend into the usual bedwetting, if it hasn’t already done so.

I wish. Been up since 5 trying to sort the Red Cross out.

Once you’ve done that, sort out Trump, Putin and Netanyahu.

Oh, and PGMOL.

There’s a good lad.

Well, we have sent our Bundeswehr trainee out on site. He is literally trained to sort out people with an assault rifle.

Wolves did look like they were stepping up but it seems there has been a transition to the mean again.

Who knows I do think a lot of it relies on a number of factors, if we can play our own game we will win, we were prevented from doing that for large parts on Wednesday. The crowd matters as it does for the other 7 games at home this season. If Slot can manage this into us against the world without it tipping into a “woe is me” then we will be ok.

Slots presser, main points:

  • Slots’s red card: In process, so no details.
  • Slot’s emotions got the better of him, but no details as to what was said.
  • Felt like 2 lost points during derby but was close during the game.
  • Players felt mentally strong during game.
  • Confident for rest of league campaign.
  • Wolves are better with new manager. Previous manager was unlucky.
  • Team news: Trent available. Gomez, Morton out. Cody doubtful.
  • Matheus Cunha is quality player.
  • Winning against teams in lower half of league harder in England than Netherlands.
  • Jones did well against Everton and will get chances after suspension.
  • Slot was upset about several things in extra time vs Everton
  • Will talk with Curtis about sending off.
  • Leading question about foul count vs Everton. (Slot not falling for it). Midfielders weren’t able to create chances.

Gakpo is a doubt for the Wolves game on Sunday due to a knock vs Everton.

When last was Diaz involved in a goal? Time for him to really step up now.

I agree, but I think the Diaz at 9 thing has been more about trying to be very careful easing Jota back.

I think the aim is the have him super fit for the run in.

Might force him to move him back over anyhow which is no bad thing.

Hopefully however long Gakpo is a doubt it’s not too long.

Not surprised. It looked like that when he came off. Let’s hope it’s short term.

Gakpo is a doubt for the game…Expect Diaz to be there!
