I’d expect a starting front 3 of Diaz-Nunez-Salah, with Jota coming on in the second half.
Nunez struggles when starting for me.
When does he start for you and, more interestingly, what does he start for you?
You know…
I was thinking Jota to start, but I think they are still managing his minutes after injury.
Diaz has zero goals, assists or goal involvements in last 10 prem games. He shouldnt be starting but Nunez isnt that much better. Jota is made of crisps.
We need a proper forward in the summer.
Maybe, but the match is a couple of days away.
Always interesting if our manager name checks an opposition player. Makes me wonder if there is any interest in Cunha?
I would pick a front three of Diaz - Nunez - Salah. Going back to the left might suit Diaz, Salah obviously plays, and there’s a decision to make between Nunez and Jota. I see the strengths and weaknesses of both, and it’s close who should start, but I’d give Nunez the nod, assuming it is a dedicated Nunez who is pressing and fighting for the team. That aspect helps the others to do their work.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Slot’s red. It doesn’t necessarily follow that there will be a touchline ban, but if there is, there’s a judgment call to be made about whether or not to appeal.
Take the punishment on the chin and move on, focusing on the on-pitch objectives? Or appeal, and make it a thing - show video evidence of the uneven refereeing, foul balance, harsh treatment. Show video of Oliver shaking Guardiola’s hand after the game, and his sarcasm and no card. He will still get a ban, but on appeal he can have his day in ‘court’ as the wider case about the state of refereeing starts to be prosecuted.
Maybe the PGMOL don’t want to go there, which is why I would not be surprised if there is no touchline band and they try to move on from this.
They don’t do appeals on Sky sports though do they? The appeal isn’t about the whole game it seems that the 5 minutes that turned into 8 has irked him.
Back on track? Did we not extend the lead over Arsenal?
It freed Maca a bit also he will need the 8 extra minutes, fouling with Impunity and several other issues.
Our last goal against Everton he put the initial cross in

Shame on Trump for showing Arne how to shake hands.
I suppose playing Chiesa as the CF would be a bad idea? Personally, I think he would do a better job than Nunez has done this season.
I’d rather see him tried at LW if Gakpo is injured and Diaz off form.
1am kick off here. Don’t think I’ll make it.
Going to be one of those Mondays where I wake up to ‘Wolves stun Liverpool!’ or ‘Liverpool cruise past Wolves’.
Fervently hope for the latter.
Yes it’s always a nerve racking 5am wake up and phone switch on.
8 PM here. The game will be finished by the time I return from work
Do what I do - stay away from media and just watch the entire game at your leisure the next day.
