Sometimes you got to win ugly, and you always need a bit of luck as well. We take the points and run .

Could’ve been 1 starter out tbh…Jones’ presence in the midfield would have helped a fuck load in managing the workload of Macca or Gravenberch…

We play 1 league game in March

And when he lost the ball he didn’t bust a gut to get back to his man. He has the pace to overtake. Just didn’t use it today.

The win was the most important thing. After dropping two points in the derby plaus Oliver show in injury time, needed to see our way through this match.

2-0 up at HT. Cruising. TAN forumites discussing who can we take off for resting and also putting on players to pick up rhythm.

Wolves came out with a more attacking plan for the second half, whereas Slot sent our lads out as if reading the in-match thread. We forced too many balls forward, rather than using nous and slowing the game down.

I think many in the forum could feel the Wolves goal coming in the few minutes leading up to it. We just needed someone to slow things down.

On the plus side, Slot actually used Endo for a change. I know Elliot is out of favour for some on this forum, but I felt he would’ve been better wide left rather than putting a tiring Dom out there.

And that’s at home to Southampton.

We are sooo lucky not to have Ange or Amorim managing us…

Tottenham v Man Utd (16:30 GMT)

Liverpool have just beaten Wolves 2-1 to restore their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

It means that, whatever happens between Tottenham and Manchester United today, their combined points total will be lower than Liverpool’s tally after 25 matches.

The rest of the fixtures for Feb is a cluster fuck. Villa away, City away and Newcastle home in the next 12 days where Slot and his deputy could be not appearing for any 2 consecutive matches stated above…7 points is hardly a very stable cushion…

It’s still a cushion. though.

I out a post in the Premier League thread why the Premier league is the best.

In other leagues being 2 down a team in 17th against the top team would just try and keep the score down, whereas in our league we are seeing coaches adapt and go for it. Well done to Wolves for at least trying, but please do that against our opposition.

No one would have predicted that we’d be 7 points clear (potentially 10) in mid-February. Now we have folk yapping about unstable cushions

A fucking big one actually.

You should support Arsenal, you’d have a wonderful time moaning about not bringing in a striker and being left with Trossard to lead the line.

Some people talking like Arsenal are flying when reality is they’ve failed to close the gap in the last ten games and now have no fit CF for the rest of the season.

Arsenal’s next 4 league games are
London Derby vs West Ham (h)
Forest (A)
Utd (A)
Cheslea (H)

They then have potentially difficult games against Everton (A) and Brentford coming shortly after that.

I would be surprised if they meaningly close the gap on us in that period

I think there is a reason why the Anfield crowd is so jittery because they know at this point of the season, every point is precious…

And it is still fresh on a lot of people’s memories on what happened in Suarez’s final season with us.

By the time they play West ham they could be 10 points behind and thats some incredible pressure they are under.

We were top, but City had several games in hand that season. Huge difference.

Totally agree with the relentlessness of the schedule if we manage to get 3 points every time I will be extatic regardless of how well we play just put a tick against each game.
We win all our remaining home games (8) and draw the rest we will be champions :crossed_fingers:

if you look at us, our CFs are either injured and finding their form back or just plain inconsistent. Not too dissimilar to them…
