Since the turn of the year both teams have played 8 league games and theyâve picked up one more point than us, 16 versus 17.
Fixtures were pretty evenly matched but Iâd say we had a slightly harder time given two big derbys and then Forest, Bournemouth and Villa all away. Meanwhile they did play City but played their local derby and Villa at home.
Whilst thatâs their first loss in a while theyâre not really closing that gap to any great degree. Weâve a couple tough games in our next two but theyâve got Forest, United and Chelsea in their next three. I wouldnât be putting my mortgage on them coming out of those with nine points.
Just win tomorrow and a wobble from them at Forest could well see the wheels come off.

Everyone expected a Arsenal win at home vs a team 5th from bottom, and hoped maybe, just maybe if the gods were smiling, a draw and two dropped points.

They were same last week but winning with 2 late goals covered it up.

This is a chance to smother Arsenalâs last hopes of a title charge. Pressure may have been relieved going into this match, but Arsenal are mentally fragile⊠lets put them out of their misery. For a bit of extra motivation, it would be nice to go to the Etihad put them in their place on the march to #20.

Iâve seen Liverpool fans across social media literally conceding the title to Arsenal this week, because Arsenal had the chance to reduce the lead to a mere five points.
