There is no conflict. Trey is good enough to play without us having to make moves to make room for him. If he starts today I will have no concern at all. The flip side is I don’t think we have enough if in addition to him we have only 3 established senior midfielders (I’m not counting Endo because I don’t think anyone would be happy seeing him get a meaningful number of games).

No surprises about the XI, but Chiesa not on the bench has to signal the end, right? This is likely why it’s still 2 forwards were reportedly trying to land.
Edit oooff just twigged no Harvey on the bench either. Probably the same there given it’s kids who are picked ahead of them

In fairness Koumas has shown way more in pre-season than Chiesa or Elliott so deserves his place on the bench.
In saying that if we’re struggling to score / win with the starting 11 we may hope for the best with the options from the bench
