PreMatch | Newcastle vs Liverpool | Sunday August 27th 16:30h

Did I sleep through the period when Newcastle played well yesterday.

They offered literally nothing

We were playing Bournemouth yesterday Matty, you seem to be in a parellel universe. What the the score?

No I’m saying they were excellent and destroyed Villa but some of the comments above. Newcastle didn’t lay a punch of Man City yesterday. Yes we don’t have Rhodri but we now at least have a CDM in Endo. Let’s see what the guy can do. I’d be more concerned if they had shown signs of beating Man City but they came for a point and didn’t even look much like changing that post the goal.

Smash them. They’re oily shit!

I would very much like to see this team go full juggernaut for the next 10 games. Just plough through the opposition and make City worry. The new blood plus Gakpo, Salah, Jota and Diaz with Nunez being the player we hoped Carroll would be could just be utterly irresistible. Get into Pep’s head now and that could be all it takes. A Japanese guy (who cost sensible money) anchoring the midfield to number 20 would be just epic.
I’ll have 0-3 please. Newcastle are still in transition, smash them, they’re Sheik.

If we don’t get McAllister’s card rescinded then it may be a case of having to outscore these cunts but we’re perfectly capable of doing that.
I just wish we could find a way to accommodate Salah, Gakpo, Jota and Diaz because they all deserve to start.
Klopp wont want to lose against these that’s for sure, I doubt he has much respect for them or that prick who manages them.

We only had Brooks twice and we did not win either of them. Besides that he looks like an arrogant bloke. Don’t like him at all.

We lose 3-1.

I think all referees are basically cloned anyway. I honest can’t tell most of them apart.

What’s the opposite of diversity?

Smash em, they’re still shit

But then so are we in spells, so it’s probably gonna be our usual.

1 - start nervy and conceed early goal through schoolboy error

2- 25mins of finding our feet

3- Bit of magic to make it 1-1 [ Great goal Dom ]

4 - shit fest dull second half where we look like sunday league team but Newcastle dont capitalise

5 - 80th min scrambled goal by Endo for a 2-1 win

Sound about right?

Brooks missed the assault on Cody last season, the one where he looked like he was in a Bruce Lee film.

Edit
Vs Villa, Mings didn’t get red for extremely high challenge.

Was Brooks 4th official when Klopp had his Tierney tirade last year?

Yes, a minutes worth of research shows that Brooks was the 4th official that Klopp celebrated in front of.

Should get all the calls at St James, I’m sure!

They worked really hard to put city under pressure, but just couldn’t get close enough to them often enough to get much joy out of it and eventually had to back off and be more reactive. City obviously keep the ball much better than we do so there is reason to be aware at least of the ways Newcastle will try to hurt us when we have the ball.

They tired off very quickly after trying to flood the midfield. City could have scored a couple more.

How easy the win was is best seen by the fact that city didn’t even make a sub.

Still not confident of a Liverpool win. But we have a chance if we play our A game.
