Like in the Arsenal match, that first half was frustrating. Unlike the Arsenal match, we had plenty of chances but weâre nowhere near clinical enough.
Like a Panenka, bobbyâs chip looks class when it goes in but you look a bit of a muppet when you miss. He had enough of the goal to slot it into the corner so it was a disappointing miss.
Iâve been pretty consistent in calling Pawson the most incompetent referee in the game and he hasnât disappointed. Knowing heâs calling every Notts dive and nothing for us I hope we donât rue Bobbyâs miss.
Like always, i assume Notts canât keep the pressure up for 90mins so we just need to be patient, forget about our sloppiness in the first half and try again. The defence has been solid. Gomez and Ox the standouts.
Diaz is going to be important.

Disagree his touch and bringing in players today has been very good, his only casual play unfortunately was on his chance

Donât agree Jota has been poor and coughed up possession too much take, Bobby off and there is no link up play

Good game in a proper stadium with a proper atmosphere and proper chants. Nottingham are obviously a big club, hopefully theyâll soon join us in the PL. The league needs such an atmospheric, big tradition club.
Some good stuff from Nottingham today in their build-up, they want to play proper football as well, and that brings the crowd up on their feet. Good stuff, although our lads have managed to keep them off our goal most of the times.
As for us, we dominate possession 70% of the time, but in terms of doing something with our chances, are quite harmless to be fair. That is quite natural, as the trio of Bobby, Jota and Elliot have never played together upfront, so itâs not surprising that our attack looks a bit dysfunctional for the time being. Ox should be the fourth player to bring danger, but doesnât look sharp enough yet.
Letâs see how it goes. I wouldnât be surprised to see our lads pick up a faster pace during the second half, and that could then be too much for the opposition. Letâs hope that we can score that first goal, then things will likely become easier for us. Fingers crossed.
