The big difference in our game today is the lack of speed in the build up. Not sure subs will change that.

First half summary
Gomez is struggling at times, he needs easy options quicker.
Real problem seems to be Diaz and Gakpo, they come back deep but don’t move it fast enough. Also not sharp enough up front when they get the chance.

I don’t think Gakpo has improved on his hold-up play or even situational awareness at all. Offered zero presence upfront despite being so tall.
As for our full-backs. they need to be involved more. Hopefully with Endo liberating Macca, it will go some ways to help this situation.

Not great, but at least it’s 0-0. We looked like we were starting to go through the gears at one stage, but then reverted back to being a bit disjointed. The attack looks well off, and there’s not much threat. A couple of subs are needed to inject some quality and impetus.
Klopp’s half time talk might see an uptick, and then I expect changes by 60 mins, if not right away.

0-0 half time is good for us given we’ve not shown too much today. As usual, i expect us to be better 2nd half. Hopefully get a goal early.
