As for the game, yesterday’s results went in our favor so while a win would of course be nice, a draw should still keep us in with a good chance, assuming we take care of business against Qarabag. And on that last point, we’ve obviously had some bad results this season, so nothing is guaranteed.
Anyway, up the reds!
Hopefully we put in enough of a performance to get the win. And hopefully everyone comes home safely.
Out of different combinations we can use in the 3 spots between the lines, I think we’ll see the 1 winger and 1 extra attacking midfielder off the sides more often.
We used a bit of everything. 2 wingers, without wingers and that 1 & 1 combination.
We saw against Burnley where Szobo played (especially in possession), very much inside, creating that box shape midfield.
When it’s Salah instead of Gakpo (and Frimpong possibly still pushing on, Szobo and Gravenberch being cover), it remains to be seen the colaboration between full backs, because Wirtz will still need good enough support.
Hopefully Salah isn’t isolated too far wide, but instead comes into the inside channel a bit, closer to the box and closer to goal, where I think we will get more out of him.
If Frimpong does indeed bomb forward on the overlap, hopefully Szobo moves over to cover the space in behind.
Oh, and in the name of all that is decent, I hope Greenwood has a stinker.
I like how Arne speaks. He speak like a Liverpool manager. I feel sorry for him. Had he failed? Has he been let down? But I like how he represents the club.
I’m very excited. For me this is like a derby. I like Marseille they are the club that represents the region. So really looking forward to see how both teams perform.
Of course I’m hoping and wishing we, Liverpool, smash 'em of course.
