Given that next week’s game against Bournemouth apparently just became a lot harder after they demolished Forest 5-0 today, I would like a lot of the regular starters to be rested. We only need a point to secure top spot in the Champions League, and there isn’t that much advantage in being the first seed anyway.

The main obstacle to us winning silverware this season is an injury to Virgil.

Just looking at the table, PSV are guaranteed a play off place, simply because at least 4 of the teams that could pass them are playing each other. Of course, there is still pride and €2million prize money to play for.
I’m hoping that Slot does take the opportunity to rest some players and gives others a run out so that the players do have something to play for.
PSV are currently top of the Eredivisie, DWLWW in all competitions since the winter break. I have to say that I have never even heard of a couple of the teams that they played, but I don’t really follow Dutch football.

I’d rather we went into the Bournemouth game fresh and in 2nd place in the CL group than fatigued and in top spot.
However, it’s pointless posting teams full of bit-part players and reserves because it’s obviously not something Slot is going to do. I expect a strong 11 to start.
