Surprised Argentina didn’t make him carry on with one leg.

Presuming MacAllister is out?

Jones, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai in midfield.

Will Allison be back? Or Jota?

I think Elliot might be near return, but won’t start anyway.

Its down to Nunez/Diaz/Gakpo for two of the three up front with Salah.

I think City and Arsenal should both win, though Spurs could annoy City a bit?

Need to concentrate fully on this and not on next two games to follow.

I think Arne has learnt from underestimating Forest.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but hasn’t Mac Allister been benched for the first post-international break game each of the past two times anyway? Regardless of any injuries, it’s a hell of a flight.

We don’t know he is injured though.

Can we wait to hear what Slot says before this crying over split milk stuff.

No we don’t, but I’m just making the observation that regardless of any injury, he’s not likely to be starting based on what Arne has done for the past two post-break games. Small sample size, but I think still relevant.

Bit harsh…
He picked up an injury and people are cautious about guessing at a team for Sunday.

If we are going to be all pedantic we shouldn’t cry over split milk anyway. Spilt milk maybe??

Tbf Mac does seem to spend a lot of time on the ground holding something. You think he has a bad injury then he gets back up and carries on. Either he gets kicked a lot or has a low pain threshold

To be fair, he likes to give and play on the edge, but then that means receiving also. Very good in duels and small spaces. I still think he’s our best and most important midfielder. Playing a lot of football has it’s limits from time to time, such a quality player is needed a lot. But hopefully he can regain a bit of freshness soon and raise his form a little also. That two is possibly connected.

Jota probably won’t make it here. Hopefully in one of the next games. So since Nunez and Diaz played up top lately, with the international minutes and travels in mind, it would be smart to start Gakpo on the left and leave Nunez and Diaz share the 90mins up top. One to start, the other one to come on. Jones I think starts for sure and then it depends between Mac and Szobo (with Jones at #8 or #10).
