Doesn’t hold water when we’re also top of the CL league stage. This is a very good team being coached very well at the moment. We’re also top of the expected points table as well.

I accept that.
I suppose it is mostly emotional in my head and I was very aware that there was a high chance of that.
I need to do better football-intellectually. I also need to find the general joy , I have always had for football back. I’ve been on a down for a couple of years now. I need some football vitamins, I suppose. It will come. It’s likely just a blasè phase I am going through. Bit of a roller coaster I suppose. But enough about me

I think the season when we won it has a lot of rose tinted glasses over it. We had some stunning performances but also some where we dragged ourselves over the line.
Ironically I would say we probably did play better in some of the seasons where we finished 2nd but that’s not to take away from this side. If we were to get a silly points total of 96/97 then we would probably win the title.

On the contrary, I loved LOTF as a teenager. Watched 20+ times. Shortly after getting married I set up a big night to watch with my wife. Explained how much it meant to me. She hated it.

The point is well made though. Foot down. Do our job tomorrow to open up an 8 point gap, and then go at Man City next week, as they aren’t nearly as solid as they have been.
